SUNRISE, Fla. (June 16, 2021) – FreightOptics today announced the company’s selection as a recipient of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Top Supply Chain Projects Award for 2021. The Top Supply Chain Projects (formerly known as SDCE 100) spotlights successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across a range of supply chain functions. These projects show how supply chain solutions and service providers help their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.  “We are pleased to be recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive for our innovative results,” says Brad McBride, CEO of FreightOptics. “Our experienced and hard-working team, backed by our proprietary supply chain technology, FreightOptics, creates bottom-line savings and efficiencies for our clients that can be felt company-wide. This award is a testament to our commitment to achieving positive results for our clients.”  FreightOptics’ winning project focused on making a digital transformation for the client to allow proper visibility to maximize cost savings opportunities. Prior to FreightOptics’ involvement, the client’s supply chain operations were manual and outdated with no visibility.  By leveraging its formal bid management services, FreightOptics was able to migrate the client from using a 3PL to having direct LTL carrier relationships, achieving 20% savings amounting to more than $750,000 per year. FreightOptics then implemented the company’s cloud-based TMS, which equipped the client with control, accountability, and visibility to all their locations and shipments, while allowing further optimization of the newly negotiated rates. FreightOptics also provided a “managed service desk” to help the client schedule inbound shipments and RMA’s.  In one month, FreightOptics’ parcel claims service identified over 800 shipments that were eligible to be reimbursed, amounting to over $80,000 in recoveries, and achieved over $12,000 in parcel audit savings despite the parcel late waiver being put into place due to COVID-19.  FreightOptics automated several  accounting processes such as the cost allocation and reconciliation of expenses for all modes, while managing the bill payment to all carriers. “The supply chain industry has been challenged with a host of supply chain disruptions over the last year. Yet, the winners on this list continued to re-tool and innovate,” says Marina Mayer, editor for Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “Whether it be moving a customer to a cloud-based solution or implementing a more sustainable shipping option, these top supply chain projects reflect the supply chain industry’s strength and resilience to overcome disruptions and work better, smarter and more efficiently in the years ahead.”   Visit www.sdcexec.com to view the full list of all 2021 Top Supply Chain Projects winners.
