FreightOptics Launches General Rate Increase Technology Tool (Gritt)

GRITT provides a specific list rate increase estimate for more accurate budgeting. SUNRISE, Fla. – DECEMBER x, 2018 – FreightOptics is pleased to announce the launch of the company’s newest innovation: a Parcel General Rate Increase (GRI) Technology Tool, called GRITT, that will re-rate historical parcel invoices against the upcoming rate increase to identify the exact percentage increase that clients will absorb based on the yearly Parcel GRI implemented by USPS, UPS and FedEx.   The tool is a new feature that’s been integrated within the FreightOptics. All FreightOptics clients leveraging the company’s Optimization service will have access to GRITT. 

How GRITT works:

Annual average increases provided by the carriers are not equal across all services, zones, and weights. GRITT provides shippers with clarity on the coming year’s budget by calculating a specific list rate increase estimate based on actual volume. The technology uses the client’s existing agreement and historical billing files to complete a re-rate of the historical shipments using designated current year service guide rates and the future year service guide rates.
